Job summary

Nortech Systems is seeking a Senior Quote Specialist with strong technical focus to translate complex technical inputs into accurate customer quotes. This role collaborates with engineering, supply chain, manufacturing and sales to optimize cost and quote efficiency.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, or related area, or five years’ experience coordinating large and complex RFQ cost estimates in electro-mechanical or custom manufacturing.
Three years’ experience coordinating and evaluating customer RFQs, including time and cost estimates and capacity considerations.
Experience using Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook at proficient level.

Responsibilities

Create bill of materials for quotes with ERP system for large, complex projects.
Coordinate inputs from engineering, manufacturing, and admin labor, materials, and other cost estimates.
Review technical documentation and ensure accurate capture of product costs and labor.
Lead cross-functional teams to determine material needs, negotiate supplier estimates, and minimize initial total cost.
Evaluate production requirements and labor costs, setup, and capacity during estimates.
Review estimation inputs against RFQs to ensure accuracy and adherence to standards.
