Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking an Assistant Plant Manager (Aggregates) in Burnet, TX to lead daily quarry and plant operations, safety, quality, and cost targets for a high-volume site producing about 1.5 million tons annually.

You will partner with maintenance, coach teams, and manage staffing to drive continuous improvements across crushing, screening, loading, and material handling with a strong focus on MSHA compliance and safety.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in quarry or heavy industrial operations with safety, quality, and cost focus.
• Experience with high-volume production and drilling/blasting, crushing, screening, loadout.
• Experience with rail operations and safe rail movement practices.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop frontline teams with accountability.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day quarry and plant operations to meet production, quality, and cost goals.
• Champion safety culture and ensure MSHA compliance.
• Optimize crushing, screening, conveying, stockpiling, loadout, and material handling.
• Partner with maintenance to maximize equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
• Lead and develop staff, manage staffing and production activities.
