Compunnel, Inc. is seeking a Software Automation Engineer for Quantum Computing to develop automation frameworks for calibration, characterization, and operation of semiconductor spin-qubit hardware in a hybrid on-site/remote environment.

You will work with experimental physicists and engineers to enable scalable measurement workflows, test frameworks, and reliable software for quantum processor bring-up in a dynamic R&D setting.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of professional software experience.
• Strong Python and NumPy/SciPy experience.
• Experience with measurement systems or hardware automation.
• Experience building automated test frameworks.
• Proficient with Git and software processes.
• Excellent cross-disciplinary communication.
• Familiarity with graph algorithms, orchestration, or distributed systems.
• Experience with parallel computing.

Responsabilités

• Design and maintain automation software for quantum device calibration and measurements.
• Collaborate with experimental physicists to translate measurement needs into software.
• Architect automation systems to configure and optimize quantum hardware.
• Develop tools to improve observability, troubleshooting, and reliability.
• Build scalable infrastructure for parallelized measurement execution.
• Deliver features from requirements to validation independently.
• Contribute to testing strategies, code reviews, and version control practices.
