Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a senior engineer to help scale quantum computing systems. You will define system requirements for fault-tolerant quantum control across hardware, software and firmware, collaborating with global teams on real-time calibration and testing.

Success requires hands-on experience with real qubits, quantum control software, and a passion for accelerating the quantum ecosystem through rigorous systems analysis and innovative engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field (Physics, EE, CS, math) or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of post-bachelor’s experience across hardware-software systems.
• Hands-on experience with real qubits and quantum control software.

Responsibilities

• Define system requirements to enable fault-tolerant quantum computing.
• Develop real-time, robust quantum error correction strategies and calibration.
• Translate product needs into hardware, software, and firmware requirements.
• Create test cases and review implementations for correctness and completeness.
• Collaborate across internal and external partners to accelerate quantum computing initiatives.
