Job summary

D-Wave Quantum Inc. in New Haven, CT, seeks a Senior Buyer to join the Supply Chain team, collaborating with R&D and Production to ensure materials for our quantum computers. You will own end-to-end procurement and build the U.S.

supplier network to support ongoing development and manufacturing. You will lead RFQ/RFP processes, negotiate pricing and terms, and drive cost-reduction initiatives while ensuring supply continuity and quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, engineering, or related field.
• 5–8+ years in procurement or strategic sourcing, preferably high-tech.
• Proven ability to manage suppliers and negotiate contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end procurement for commodities, components, equipment, and services.
• Develop sourcing strategies balancing cost, quality, and lead times.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and supplier performance.
• Support make/buy decisions with market research and total cost.
• Collaborate with R&D, Engineering, and Production teams on BOMs and requirements.
• Monitor PO status and supplier commitments to support schedules.
