Job summary

Quantinuum in Broomfield, CO is seeking a Principal Quantum Compiler Engineer to lead compiler architecture and execution for quantum hardware. You will architect, prototype, and evaluate compiler technologies, mentor engineers, and help shape the roadmap for fault-tolerant quantum programs at scale.

You will work with physicists, QEC experts, and other engineers to co-design the software stack that translates quantum applications to hardware-specific instructions.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree minimum.
• Minimum 8+ years in engineering, lab, or R&D environments.
• 8+ years of hands-on experience developing compiler infrastructure.
• U.S. Person status required by contractual requirements.
• Experience with LLVM or comparable compiler frameworks and compiler design.

Responsibilities

• Drive strategic vision and leadership in architecture and implementation of compilers for quantum computing.
• Mentor and develop technical leadership within the compiler team.
• Architect and contribute to advanced compiler design projects including front-end and back-end components.
• Collaborate with researchers and standards bodies to shape quantum programming standards.
