Job summary

Google Inc. in Goleta, CA is seeking a Quantum Hardware Engineer to lead the Advanced Interconnect team, driving technology for cryogenic microwave device integration and superconducting quantum components.

You will coordinate with researchers, engineers, and external partners to advance our quantum roadmap and push the limits of qubit scalability. You will manage multiple projects across silicon, PCB, and MEMS domains, applying engineering intuition to improve hardware performance and ensure

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a specialized field (e.g., Optics, Sensors, Audio/DSP, etc.), or equivalent practical experience.
6 years of experience working with technology and process R&D in MEMS, PCB, or silicon technologies.
3 years of experience in technical leadership.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the advanced interconnect technology team.
Develop advanced integration and interconnect technologies for cryogenic microwave devices and superconducting quantum components.
Scope and purchase tools for development, including materials and processes, and define capabilities of new technologies.
Collaborate with industrial and academic partners as a project technical lead for external development.
Write documentation and transfer developed processes to production.
