Job summary

Google in Goleta, CA is seeking a Mid-level High Speed Circuit Designer to advance quantum control and measurement systems. You will collaborate with ASIC designers to architect dense, high-performance board-level solutions used in quantum computers.

The role focuses on RF/analog/mixed-signal expertise, PCB design, and system deployment. You will document designs and measurements, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to the evolution of Google's quantum hardware roadmap.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 3 years of experience in analog, digital, or mixed-signal design.
• 3 years of experience designing PCBs with GHz-rate data converters, FPGAs, or processors.

Responsibilities

• Support deployment and operations of electronics to Google’s fleet of quantum computers.
• Contribute to the design of control and measurement systems for next generation quantum computers, from architecture through implementation and deployment.
• Drive board-level projects of high complexity to completion, collaborating with team of engineers.
• Document work and share results with relevant stakeholders.
