Job summary

Bowmer & Kirkland is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the Eastern Region, site-based, to lead a £76m new-build school project and future opportunities within the Eastern Region. The ideal candidate will have Tier 1 main contractor experience and DFE School project exposure, with a proven ability to lead and develop commercial teams on large schemes.

This is a full-time, permanent role with approximately 42.5 hours per week, typically 8:30am to 5:30pm, working on-site.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Tier 1 main contractor on large-scale schemes.
• DFE School project experience preferred.
• Proven track record of leading commercial teams.
• Strong project commercial management and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the commercial team for large school projects.
• Manage project costs, changes, and contracts to ensure value and timeliness.
• Oversee procurement, subcontractor performance and compliance.
• Report on financial performance to senior stakeholders.
