Job summary

Severfield is seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the Commercial & Industrial division, based at our York office. You will support the commercial team, manage contractual aspects of complex steelwork projects, and oversee interim valuations to maintain healthy cash flow across multiple sites in the UK and Europe.

The role requires strong knowledge of JCT Design & Build conditions, experience with subcontracted works such as decking, metalwork and cladding, and a proactive

Qualifications

• Strong contract knowledge and awareness of JCT Design & Build subcontract conditions.
• Experience managing financial aspects of steelwork projects and subcontracted works.
• Ability to prepare interim valuations and forecast cash flow.

Responsibilities

• Support Commercial Associate Director and QS dept to manage commercial/contractual aspects.
• Prepare and submit interim valuations monthly to ensure positive cash flow.
• Manage financial aspects of steelwork projects including subcontracts, decking, metalwork and cladding.
• Conduct cost control and value reporting for projects.
