Job summary

Novax Recruitment Group is recruiting a Senior Estimator for a leading construction business. The role centers on structural steel estimating and preparing accurate, competitive bids for diverse projects.

The successful candidate will independently manage the estimating process, review drawings and specifications, and collaborate with internal teams to deliver bid documentation and pricing. A strong steel background, drawing interpretation, and Excel proficiency are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of structural steel estimating experience.
• Experience within commercial and/or industrial construction.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong estimating, mathematical, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Bluebeam and/or On-Screen Take-off.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed project estimates and take-offs.
• Review drawings, specifications, and scope of work.
• Calculate material, labour, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Request and review supplier and subcontractor pricing.
• Prepare bid documentation, scopes, inclusions, exclusions, and qualifications.
• Communicate with contractors regarding project requirements and pricing.
• Manage multiple bids and meet deadlines.
• Track submitted proposals and project outcomes.
• Work with internal teams throughout the bidding process.
