Job summary

Fawkes & Reece Group is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a national internals fit-out subcontractor in Carlisle, Cumbria. The role oversees commercial management of multiple contracts, ensuring robust financial control, procurement, and cost reporting.

This is a pathway role with potential progression to Commercial Manager within 12–24 months as the business grows; candidates should have proven QS experience in internals fit-out or main contractor environments and hold a BSc Quantity

Qualifications

• Senior Quantity Surveyor with experience in internals/fit-out subcontractor or main contractor environments.
• Requires BSc Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Strong negotiation and subcontractor management skills.
• Ability to prioritise, manage risk and value engineer.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the full commercial management of contracts within the region.
• Lead to progression into Commercial Manager within 12–24 months as the business grows.
• Manage subcontractor relationships and cost reporting to maintain profitability.
