Job summary

Google is seeking a Senior Quantitative UX Researcher to advance measurement frameworks for Alphabet’s AI infrastructure. You will join a multi-disciplinary team and translate complex telemetry into actionable user insights, partnering with engineers, product management, and AI researchers.

You will design experiments, analyze logs, and develop Python or R scripts to uncover behavioral patterns that inform product decisions and developer workflows across the AI pipeline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience in product research in an applied research setting.
• Experience in quantitative research, logs analysis, measurement and attribution, data analysis, and metrics analysis.
• Experience researching AI/ML products, Developer APIs, or technical infrastructure.
• Experience in programming languages used for data manipulation and computational statistics (e.g., Python).

Responsibilities

• Design and implement agent‑assisted pipelines to parse, audit, and analyze massive‑scale system logs to accelerate insight generation.
• Define, instrument, and track system‑level KPIs and backend performance metrics, aligning with Critical User Journeys.
• Develop scripts or agentic wrappers in Python or R to parse complex logs and transform them into patterns.
• Lead the design and analysis of complex experiments, multivariate testing, and rollout strategies.
• Collaborate with Infrastructure Engineers, Applied Data Scientists, and ML researchers to ensure pipelines are instrumented for downstream analysis.
