Job summary

Google is seeking a Quantitative User Experience Researcher to join a multi-disciplinary team and collaborate closely with Engineering and Product Management to create industry-leading products.

You will investigate user behavior using logs, surveys, and regression, applying advanced statistics and programming skills to derive actionable insights that influence product roadmaps and engineering decisions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in product research in an applied research setting, including analyzing log data.
  • Experience in programming languages used for data manipulation and computational statistics (e.g., Python, R, SQL) and working with AI platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute end-to-end quantitative user research studies, including logs/telemetry analysis, experiments, and large-scale surveys.
  • Apply advanced statistical modeling and computational techniques to large datasets using SQL, Python, or R.
  • Advocate and scale AI-native research workflows with automated analytical pipelines and self-service evaluation tools.
  • Drive cross-functional strategy with UX designers, product managers, and engineering leads to embed quantitative excellence into roadmaps.
  • Define and track novel user-centered metrics to influence architecture and feature prioritization.
