Job summary

Russell Investments in Seattle seeks a seasoned research professional to direct and expand data-driven investment research across FX, derivatives, equity, fixed income and private assets. You will oversee quantitative solutions and guide junior members of the team.

Responsibilities include using Python and SQL to drive research, lead FX and futures overlay projects, and collaborate with colleagues across the Investment Division to deliver actionable insights.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in FX strategy research, derivatives, equity or fixed income portfolio construction, factor research, strategy backtesting, optimizations, machine learning, and coding.
  • Master's degree or higher preferred in Finance, Math, Computer Science or Economics.
  • CFA, or progress towards, preferred.
  • Understanding of quantitative portfolio management.
  • Programming skills in Python and SQL preferred with knowledge of production coding techniques.

Salary Range: $120,000 USD - $140,000 USD Specific compensation will be based on candidate’s experience, skills, qualifications, commercial considerations, and other job-related factors permitted by law. At Russell Investments, salary is just one part of our compensation package. Job Description: As a member of the Research & Development team, this position will direct and expand research across the Investment Division. Activities will include initiating, fostering, and collaborating on data-oriented research projects with other associates involved in investment research, manager research, portfolio construction and analysis, asset allocation and implementation. This position will oversee and create quantitative solutions and analysis in support of these research projects and oversee bringing these projects to fruition. One of the key responsibilities for this role will be to support and develop our FX and futures overlay platform and research in addition to quantitative research projects across equity, fixed income, and private assets. This position will provide material guidance to junior members of the team.

Your Core Responsibilities

Your Expertise

  • Ability to work autonomously on a wide range of projects simultaneously while directing junior associates.
  • Proven ability to multi-task and work in a dynamic environment.
