Job summary

Paycom in Manhattan, KS is seeking a detail-oriented Sr. Coordinator - Quality Assurance Technician to support our Powder Coat operations. You will inspect, test, and monitor quality of materials and products throughout the powder coat and production process.

This role requires reading blueprints, using calipers and micrometers, and documenting inspections. You will collaborate with production teams to resolve issues and uphold ISO 9001 quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree or QA certifications are a plus.
• Previous experience as a Quality Assurance Technician or in a similar role within metal fabrication is preferred.
• Powder coat experience is preferred.
• Strong understanding of quality control processes.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and AWS standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Inspect raw materials, in-process products, and finished parts for customer specifications and quality standards.
• Use precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges) to verify dimensions.
• Document inspections, tests, and non-conformances accurately.
• Collaborate with production teams to address quality concerns and improve processes.
• Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment regularly.
• Assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions for non-conforming products.
• Review drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate production.
• Conduct final inspections before shipping to meet customer requirements.
• Report quality issues to management and support timely resolutions.
• Uphold company values and perform other duties as assigned.
