Job summary

Paycom in Manhattan, KS is seeking a detail-oriented Sr. Coordinator - Quality Assurance Technician to support our Powder Coat operations. You will inspect, test, and monitor quality of materials and products throughout the powder coat and production process.

This role requires reading blueprints, using calipers and micrometers, and documenting inspections. You will collaborate with production teams to resolve issues and uphold ISO 9001 quality standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree or QA certifications are a plus.
• Previous experience as a Quality Assurance Technician or in a similar role within metal fabrication is preferred.
• Powder coat experience is preferred.
• Strong understanding of quality control processes.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and AWS standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

This position will be responsible for ensuring that our powder coated products meet or exceed industry standards and customer specifications. This role involves inspecting, testing, and monitoring the quality of materials, components, and final products throughout the powder coat and production process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform inspections of raw materials, in-process products, and finished parts to ensure compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, and industry regulations.
• Use precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify product dimensions and quality.
• Document and maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and non-conformance issues.
• Collaborate with production teams to address quality concerns, providing guidance and support to improve processes and product quality.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality control procedures.
• Perform routine calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment.
• Assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions for non-conforming products.
• Review and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate product production.
• Conduct final inspections of products before shipping to ensure adherence to quality standards and customer requirements.

Qualifications:
