PTMW in Topeka, KS is seeking an Entry-Level Powder Coat Technician to assist across the powder coating process from preparation to inspection. You will support production flow while applying powder coating to metal parts and ensuring finishes meet quality standards.

The role emphasizes hands-on work, adherence to safety procedures, and teamwork in a manufacturing setting. Overtime may be required to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of safety and cleanliness in a manufacturing environment.
• Capable of lifting up to 100 lbs safely and regularly.
• Willingness to grow within the role and take on overtime as production needs require.

Responsabilités

• Prepare parts for powder coating by cleaning, masking, hanging, or racking them.
• Assist in the setup and operation of powder coating equipment.
• Apply powder coating to metal parts using manual or automated methods under supervision.
• Inspect parts before and after coating to ensure quality standards are met.
• Make adjustments to coating processes or alert Guides/Leads as necessary.
• Clean and maintain powder coating equipment, spray booths, and work area.
• Return tools and materials to designated areas at the end of each shift.
• Follow all safety procedures, wear required PPE, and maintain a safe work environment.
