MLJ Contracting, a premier general contractor in the heavy construction market, seeks a Quality Manager for NY-area projects. You will oversee all quality-related functions, review submittals, and lead audits to ensure compliance with contract requirements and customer expectations.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in quality, with ISO-9000 leadership and ASQ engagement. This role emphasizes safety, professionalism, and delivering top-quality outcomes on major public works.

Qualifications

• BS in engineering or related field or equivalent years' experience in the industry.
• CQE certification recognized by ASQ.
• Lead Auditor ISO-9000 certification recognized by ANAB.
• Member of ASQ or a similar quality-focused organization.

Responsibilities

• Review submittals (catalog cuts, shop drawings, as-built drawings) to ensure contract requirements.
• Prepare reports to document compliance with quality requirements or issue non-conformance reports.
• Identify and report quality problems or trends in the assigned area or program.
• Recommend corrective action to quality problems.
• Aid or lead project-wide system audits and surveillance, including supplier or subcontractor audits.

Education

BS in engineering or related field or equivalent years' experience in the industry.

Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) as recognized by ASQ

Certified ISO-9000 Lead Auditor (ANAB)

ASQ member or other recognized quality-focused organization
