Job summary

Anova, a division of Shiel Sexton, is seeking a Quality Manager II to lead quality management across large commercial construction projects on behalf of the Owner. You will oversee contractor quality programs, ensure compliance with OPR and contract documents, and mentor junior staff to drive proactive quality and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil/Structural Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in quality management or QA/QC roles within commercial construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, codes, standards, and best practices.
• Experience developing and implementing QA/QC programs for commercial construction projects.
• Ability to read, interpret, and review construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, PlanGrid, Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to quality and safety.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary project teams and client representatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain company-wide quality management policies, procedures, and standards for commercial construction projects.
• Lead quality management activities on large, complex, or multiple capital projects, ensuring construction execution aligns with Owner Project Requirements (OPR) and contract documents.
• Provide independent oversight of contractor quality programs by reviewing Quality Management Plans, ITPs, submittals, shop drawings, mock-ups, material selections, and documentation.
