Job summary

Walsh Group is seeking a Senior Quality Manager for our Winthrop, MA projects. You will implement and optimize the Quality Management System, ensuring the design and construction activities align with company policies, procedures and contract requirements.

You will mentor staff, drive continuous improvement through KPIs and QIRs, and coordinate inspections and testing with operations, consultants, and clients. The role emphasizes risk management and safe, efficient project execution.

Qualifications

• AEC Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related field experience with International Code Counsel, NICET, etc.
• Current certification in Construction Quality Management (USACE/NAVFAC/NRC) preferred but not required.
• Industry certifications for testing and inspection as required to review and certify tests, inspections and procedures.
• Minimum 10 years of AEC experience, 5 years QA/QC with leadership or advanced technical skills.
• Strong communication, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, plus time management.
• Knowledge of standards, specifications and publications related to job duties.
• Limited travel for projects as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Serve as quality champion for projects, overseeing quality of work, materials, documentation and close-out.
• Coach and mentor project staff in quality management principles and requirements.
• Lead and manage quality processes including work planning, pre-activity meetings, material management and inspection routines.
• Establish and monitor KPIs and QIRs for continuous improvement.
• Provide feedback on major QIRs, project relations and quality issues to leadership.
• Direct inspection, testing and documentation of works, and coordinate testing with labs and client.
