Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, part of RTX, is recruiting for a Quality Assurance Manager at the East Hartford site to lead the QA program, drive continuous improvement, and assure compliance with FAA/AS9100 standards. The role partners with engineering, operations and regulatory teams to sustain product integrity and reliability.

The candidate will oversee audits, QMS, CAPA, and training of QA personnel, reporting to the General Manager as part of the senior management team.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree or equivalent with many years in quality/engineering/operations within aviation/aerospace/defense.
• Proven leadership experience managing technical teams.
• Experience with Quality Management Systems and audits.

Responsibilities

• Lead QA function across EHRO ensuring regulatory and customer compliance.
• Direct Quality Engineering team and drive continuous improvement.
• Maintain and audit QMS, corrective actions, and document control.
• Lead investigations of quality escapes and CAPA programs.
• Coordinate with regulatory bodies and customer QA teams.
• Ensure consistent inspection standards and technical documentation.
