Job summary

Wolverine Industries in Decatur, AL is seeking a production supervisor for a 4-shift operation (6 p.m.–6 a.m.). You will supervise Oven Technicians, manage staffing, and ensure quality inspections while driving continuous improvement and PPAP activities.

The role requires leadership experience (1–3 years), manufacturing extrusion background preferred, and strong problem-solving skills. The position offers first-day benefits, night differential, and 401(k) match with long-term career growth

Responsibilities

• Maintain adequate staffing and monitor performance.
• Maintain and update all in-process inspection records.
• Assist in interpreting dimensional specifications.
• Perform Production Part Approvals (PPAP) for customers.
• Assist in corrective and preventive action activities (8D’s, one-pagers).
• Collect and review forms from various areas of the production facility.
• Coordinate periodic tooling audit for all measurement equipment.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and work procedures to ensure testing.

Requirements

• Possess good problem solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks, maintain records, and the ability to work with interruptions.
• Ability to create, review and evaluate operating procedures and recommend improvements.
• Demonstrate a high level of proficiency in the use of the English language in oral and written forms.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all staff.
• Demonstrate a positive, courteous, and friendly attitude that projects a positive image of the department and organization.
• Willing to learn new duties and job function-related skills as required.
• Self-directed and self-motivated in job-related tasks.
• Familiarity with root cause investigation tools
• Must be available for nights and weekends with occasional overtime.
• 1-3 years minimum leadership experience preferred
• Manufacturing experience in extrusion ideal
• When required, the ability to work on the production floor with exposure to dust, fumes, odors, loud noise, and varying temperatures.
• Must be able to lift twenty-five (25) pounds at times.Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
