Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to lead quality operations within a 136,000-square-foot distribution and kitting facility.

You will manage a team of eight Quality Associates and drive CAPA, audits, and customer quality concerns with data-driven decisions. Based in Charlotte, NC, this salaried role offers P&L responsibility, competitive pay, and a comprehensive benefits package from a Fortune 500 company.

Qualifications

• Leading quality operations within a warehouse, distribution, manufacturing, or supply chain environment
• Managing and developing teams of Quality Associates, Inspectors, or Quality Technicians
• Conducting root cause analysis and implementing CAPA
• Serving as the primary contact for customer quality concerns, audits, and issue resolution
• Presenting quality findings and recommendations to customers and senior leadership
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements
• Influencing cross-functional stakeholders and confidently navigating difficult quality-related discussions
• Utilizing quality metrics, trend analysis, and reporting to drive operational performance

Responsibilities

• Manage the performance of salaried employees as well as hourly paid employees under his/her responsibility, resolve performance issues, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures
• Collaborate with senior management and customers to determine their needs and expectations and operate the account to meet those demands
• Be responsible for the payroll of employees
• Analyze weekly and monthly P&L statements to determine account profitability, and provide financial data and weekly operations report to senior management
• Be responsible for accounts payable, vendor quotes for purchased materials, and customer invoicing
• Hold Safety & Security meetings, provide safety training and ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Additional Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned
• Must be available to work on a flexible schedule on the various work shifts
