Job summary

American Battery Solutions Inc. (ABS) in Springboro, OH seeks a Quality Inspector II to independently inspect line-side products and processes across multiple manufacturing areas.

You will apply drawings, control plans, inspection standards, and reaction plans to identify defects and support production recovery. The role requires reading drawings including GD&T symbols, using calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection equipment, and mentoring junior inspectors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of manufacturing or inspection experience preferred.
• Ability to read part drawings, apply tolerances, and recognize GD&T symbols.
• Proficiency with common dimensional measurement tools and electronic inspection records.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform in-process and final inspections across multiple products or areas.
• Interpret drawings, specifications, control plans, and inspection instructions.
• Use calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection equipment within competency.
• Initiate and execute containment, traceability review, and documented verification.
• Collect defect and measurement data to support investigations and corrective actions.
• Provide shift-to-shift communication on defects, containment status, and follow-up.
