Job summary

Sundt Construction is seeking a Senior Quality Inspector to oversee complex inspections across construction projects. You will ensure compliance with contract documents, specs, and codes while mentoring junior staff and coordinating with field, engineering, and quality teams.

The role is located at a remote project site with a 14 days on / 7 days off schedule, offering ESOP, 401K, and competitive benefits. Strong knowledge of AWS D1.1 and ISO 9001 is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of quality inspection experience in construction, heavy civil, infrastructure, industrial, power, mining or fabrication environments.
• Deep knowledge of AWS, AISC, ASME, API, ASTM, ACI, ICC, ISO standards and codes.
• Experience with QA/QC processes, welding inspections, and structural/mechanical systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Audit and assess quality processes across trades; ensure compliance with specs and codes.
• Coordinate third-party testing and inspection services.
• Interface with clients, regulators, and internal teams during inspections and audits.
• Lead advanced inspections of welds, components, and installations per ITPs and standards.
• Maintain quality records: inspection reports, NCRs, CARs, and test data.
• Mentor Quality Inspector I & II; provide feedback and support.
