Job summary

Ajax TOCCO Magnethermic is seeking a detail-oriented Quality Inspector to join the QA team. The role focuses on dimensional, visual, and functional inspections of incoming materials, in-process assemblies, and finished products, ensuring compliance with engineering specs and quality standards.

You will generate precise inspection documentation, create clear nonconformance reports, and support production, engineering, and suppliers to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 5+ years in inspection
• 5+ years of experience with quality systems
• Knowledge of GD&T and ability to interpret complex drawings

Responsibilities

• Perform inspection of incoming materials, WIP, and finished components/products.
• Record dimensions and inspection results for historical reference.
• Create inspection reports for internal and external use.
• Identify non-conforming parts and work with suppliers to resolve findings.
• Collaborate with engineering/manufacturing to address deviations from drawings.
• Maintain familiarity with ISO 9001:2015 standards and quality procedures.
