Job summary

A3 Staffing seeks a Quality Inspector for our Buffalo, NY-area precision manufacturing operation. The role focuses on dimensional inspection, CMM use, and GD&T conformance to ensure parts meet customer and internal specifications.

You will read drawings, document inspection results, and collaborate with operators and engineers to drive process improvements. On-site calibration and routine inspection tasks are also included.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Conduct dimensional checks on machined components using CMMs and hand tools.

Position Overview

We're looking for a skilled Quality Inspector to strengthen our quality team. The right candidate brings solid experience in dimensional inspection, comfort operating coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and a working knowledge of GD&T standards. This role is central to confirming that finished parts meet customer specs and internal quality benchmarks before they go out the door.

What You'll Do

• Conduct dimensional checks on machined components using tools such as CMMs, micrometers, calipers, and height gauges.
• Read and cross-check parts against technical drawings, blueprints, and customer specifications.
• Use GD&T methodology to confirm dimensional accuracy and tolerance conformance.
• Keep thorough, organized inspection records per internal and client documentation standards.
• Partner with machine operators and engineering staff to troubleshoot quality concerns and drive process improvements.
• Handle routine calibration and upkeep of measurement instruments.
• Assist with first-piece, in-process, and final part inspections.
