Job summary

Blue Origin in Florida is seeking aQuality Inspector/Engineer to perform inspections, tests, and evaluations on materials and components. You will author nonconformance records, support MRB activities, and track corrective actions to closure.

The role requires reading engineering drawings and GD&T, plus experience with AS9100/ISO9001 quality systems and dimensional inspection tools. Strong documentation skills and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in engineering or technical field; 3+ years quality experience, OR Bachelor's degree with 1+ year, OR 5+ years directly relevant experience.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specs.
• Experience with nonconformance documentation and corrective action processes.
• Hands-on experience with calipers, micrometers, height gages, bore gages.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality inspections, tests, and evaluations on materials, components, and finished products.
• Author and disposition nonconformance records; support MRB activities and track corrective actions.
• Lead or support root cause and corrective action investigations (5-Why, fishbone, 8D, fault tree).
• Prepare and review First Article Inspection Reports per AS9102 or applicable standard.
