Job summary

Amazon in Austin, TX seeks a visionary Quality Engineering leader to define and deploy a comprehensive quality strategy across development to high-volume production. You will own the end-to-end quality lifecycle, build the QMS, and drive data-driven improvements for advanced hardware products.

You will lead a team of Quality Engineers, Metrology specialists, and IQC/MRB professionals, shaping quality policy, supplier quality, and NPI readiness in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in quality engineering for electromechanical or precision hardware.
• 5+ years in leadership, building quality teams.
• Deep expertise in APQP/PPAP and DFMEA/PFMEA.
• Experience with MRB processes and non-conformance disposition.

Responsibilities

• Define and deploy a comprehensive quality strategy from development to production.
• Build and lead the Quality Engineering organization.
• Establish QMS, IQC, MRB, and data-driven quality reporting.
• Lead FMEAs, CpK/CpK analyses, and measurement system validation.
• Partner with Design, Process, and Supply Chain to drive quality improvements.
