Job summary

Kingfisher Recruiting in the Fremont area, CA, is seeking a hands-on Quality Engineering Manager to lead the quality team in an EMS/PCBA manufacturing setting. This 100% onsite role focuses on improving product quality and customer satisfaction.

Requirements include 8+ years in EMS quality, 3+ years in leadership, strong RCA/8D/CAPA, and experience with PCBA, SMT, In-Circuit, and NPI processes. Salary range $130,000–$150,000 per year.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of quality experience in an Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) environment.
• Minimum 3 years of quality leadership or management experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with PCBA and Box Build manufacturing.
• Proven customer-facing quality management experience, including customer escalations, audits, and complaint resolution.
• Strong expertise in root cause analysis, 8D, CAPA, and corrective action programs
• Experience supporting SMT, Through-Hole, Functional Test, Final Inspection, and NPI processes
• Knowledge of quality systems and compliance, including ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100, and IATF 16949.
• Experience driving continuous improvement, defect reduction, yield improvement, and reducing scrap/rework
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop quality engineering teams
