Job summary

Nidec Drives seeks a Quality Engineer Technician III to lead motor teardown failure analysis for field and production returns, and to support corrective actions across Corporate Quality, Engineering, Operations and Sales. You will analyze data, troubleshoot issues, and guide continuous improvement initiatives while coordinating testing with the Lab Center.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing quality, an associate degree in a technical field, and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in manufacturing quality or related environment.
• Experience in product failure analysis and quality investigations.
• Experience supporting continuous improvement and corrective action initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead motor teardown failure analysis for field and production returns.
• Document and communicate findings to Corporate and Plant Quality teams and support corrective actions.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance for quality-related issues.
• Collect, analyze, and interpret quality and reliability data to support improvements.
• Coordinate testing requests with the Nidec Motor Technology Center and labs.
• Assist with customer complaint investigations and resolution activities.
• Maintain database of motor teardown analyses and generate periodic reports.
