Job summary

ZT Systems is seeking a Principal Quality Engineer to lead data-driven quality programs across production lines, applying SPC, measurement analysis, and predictive analytics to reduce risk and improve reliability. You will partner with design, operations, suppliers, and NPI teams to embed smart factory methods including automation and digital traceability.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Engineering, CS, DS or related field.
• 10–15 years in high-volume, high-complexity manufacturing.
• 5+ years in leadership or transformation roles.
• Deep proficiency with statistical methods (regression, DOE, SPC, Gauge R&R).
• Experience with data tools (Minitab, JMP, Python, R, SQL).

Responsibilities

• Lead or contribute to transformation initiatives and set new standards for quality and risk analysis.
• Define and implement new systems and frameworks to support smart factory initiatives.
• Collaborate across design, quality, manufacturing, test, and supplier engineering.
• Develop, implement, and sustain SPC systems using industry-standard software.
• Lead Gauge R&R studies and measurement system analysis.
• Translate DFM and PFMEA insights into actionable process controls.
• Drive structured problem-solving for internal and supplier issues.
• Oversee supplier qualification and ongoing supplier quality management.
