Job summary

Persona AI is building a robust Quality Engineering function in Houston to support the manufacturing of advanced humanoid robots. The role reports to the Head of Manufacturing and will own incoming inspection, supplier quality, PPAP, and ISO 9001 certification while shaping the field-to-factory-to-supplier quality chain.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in quality engineering or manufacturing quality in a hardware environment.
• Hands-on experience building quality infrastructure from scratch.
• Deep familiarity with ISO 9001 and certification processes.
• Strong PPAP and 8D root cause analysis experience.
• Proficiency with metrology equipment (calipers, micrometers, CMM).
• Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications.
• Supplier quality management experience and strong cross-functional collaboration.
• Willingness to travel ~40% and relocate to Houston/Pensacola as needed.

Responsibilities

• Define and set up incoming inspection processes and validation of supplier specs.
• Own PPAP and drive root cause analysis to ensure conformance.
• Lead field, factory, and supplier quality initiatives across locations.
• Drive ISO 9001 certification, document control, and audit prep.
• Specify and maintain precision inspection equipment and calibration traceability.
• Create and maintain inspection reports, non-conformance docs, supplier scorecards.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Assembly, and field teams; travel to supplier sites.
• Establish factory floor standards with metrics and visual management.
