Job summary

Figure is an AI robotics company headquartered in San Jose, CA, seeking a Quality Engineer to manage the Incoming Quality Lab and lead QC activities in our manufacturing facility. You will develop QC plans, supervise inspectors, and drive MRB processes to resolve issues.

The role requires 5+ years in manufacturing, strong GD&T knowledge, and proficiency with inspection tools. Excellent communication and attention to detail are essential for fast-paced production. Base US salary ranges apply.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD models.
Expert on GD&T ASME Y14.5-2009 or ASME Y14.5-2018.
Expert on Sampling Plan C=0, and ASQ Z1.4/MIL-STD-105.
Proficiency with common inspection tools, including Digital Height Gage, caliper, micrometer, thread gages, etc.
Attention to detail: capable of maintaining precision in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills: good verbal and written communications skills with analytics and numeracy.

Responsibilities

Manage Incoming Quality Lab, QC workload, priority and ensure equipment are in good operation order.
Develop Quality Control Plan and Quality Work Instructions; lead and supervise QC inspectors.
Lead MRB meetings, manage MRB processes, collaborate with associated parties to resolve issues.
Perform dimensional, visual, functional verifications as per QC plan or Work Instructions.
Review and approve First Article Inspection Reports.
Initiate Non-conformance Reports and oversee Open Quality Tracker.
Keep the QC area clean and organized.
Support other QC related activities.
