Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to lead quality strategy and automation across ExamDeveloper and OnVUE platforms. You will partner with engineering, product, DevOps, security, and operations to raise testing maturity and release confidence.

The role blends hands-on testing with leadership, mentoring fellow engineers, and driving accessibility, reliability, and security across global assessment solutions used by millions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional quality engineering, software testing, or test automation experience.
• Experience leading quality efforts for complex web-based, cloud-hosted, or customer-facing applications.
• Knowledge of test strategy, defect management, regression planning, and release validation.
• Experience mentoring within Agile engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead test strategy and quality planning for new features, platform enhancements, and releases.
• Design comprehensive test approaches spanning functional, integration, regression, API, accessibility, negative, and end-to-end testing.
• Build, maintain, and improve automated testing coverage across web, API, and workflow scenarios.
• Mentor quality engineers in automation design, test strategy, accessibility validation, and release readiness.
