Pearson is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to drive testing excellence across ExamDeveloper and OnVUE. You will lead quality strategy, plan tests, advance automation, and ensure release readiness while partnering across product, engineering, DevOps, security, and operations teams.

This hands-on yet leadership-driven role focuses on reliability, accessibility, and scalable software used by millions of learners and testing organizations worldwide. Remote-ready within the United States.

Qualifications

5+ years of professional quality engineering or test automation experience.
Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or equivalent.
Experience leading quality efforts for complex web-based or cloud-hosted apps.
Strong knowledge of test strategy, defect management, regression planning, and release validation.
Mentoring experience within Agile engineering teams.
Automation-first testing principles understood.

Responsibilities

Lead test strategy and quality planning for new features and releases.
Design comprehensive test approaches across functional, API, and end-to-end testing.
Build and improve automated coverage for web and API workflows.
Perform hands-on testing for high-risk initiatives and complex scenarios.
Mentor quality engineers in automation design and release readiness.
