Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to lead quality across ExamDeveloper and OnVUE. You will own test strategy, automation maturity, and release readiness, partnering with product, engineering, architecture, DevOps, security, and operations teams.

You will mentor quality engineers, drive automated coverage for web, API, and workflow scenarios, and ensure security, accessibility, and reliability throughout the lifecycle from design to delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional quality engineering, software testing, or test automation.
• Experience leading quality efforts for complex web-based, cloud-hosted or customer-facing apps.
• Strong knowledge of test strategy, defect management, regression planning, and release validation.
• Mentoring within Agile engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead test strategy and quality planning for new features and releases.
• Design comprehensive test approaches spanning functional, integration, regression, API, accessibility, and end-to-end testing.
• Build and improve automated testing across web, API, and workflow scenarios.
• Lead defect triage, root cause analysis, and verification activities.
• Review automation results and drive improvements in coverage and reliability.
• Mentor fellow quality engineers and align practices with product goals.
