Job summary

VERSANT Media is seeking a highly technical Senior Quality Engineer to drive reliable, scalable, and high-quality products across complex software, hardware, POS devices, and APIs. You will blend hands-on testing with automation, risk-based quality strategy, and AI-assisted practices, partnering with Engineering, Product, DevOps, Security, and other teams to raise release confidence.

This fully remote role requires strong testing design, automation, and communication skills, with up to 10%

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software testing or quality engineering.
• Hands-on experience building automated tests with Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium.
• Experience testing APIs and distributed systems; familiarity with CI/CD.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve risk-based test strategies for software, APIs, and hardware interfaces.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable automated testing solutions.
• Integrate automated checks into CI/CD pipelines and gate quality releases.
• Lead exploratory testing, defect triage, and release readiness reviews.
• Validate complex integrations across software, hardware, POS devices, and external systems.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools to accelerate test design and maintenance while mentoring teammates.
