Job summary

MPI is seeking a Quality Engineer for a privately held manufacturer specializing in precision metal stamping and highly engineered components. You will plan and direct activities related to quality standards and PPAP submissions.

You will lead corrective actions, investigations with root cause analysis, and ensure ISO/IATF certifications are kept up to date. This role requires strong APQP and PFMEA experience in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years manufacturing experience within quality.
• Experience with APQP.
• Experience with IATF 16949.
• Experience with PFMEA, Control Plans and PPAPs.
• Metal stamping experience preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Issue and follow up on all internal, customer and supplier corrective actions.
• Assist Quality Control Manager in PPAPs and annual resubmissions of active parts.
• Directs workers engaged in measuring, testing, and tabulating data concerning quality and reliability.
• Control suppliers ISO and IATF certifications, ensuring those suppliers are up to date.
• Keep MRB cage current.
• Update QIP's when necessary.
