Job summary

MPI is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to lead quality systems for a precision aerospace machining manufacturer. You will drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, AS9100 compliance, and collaboration with Engineering and Operations to ensure complex aerospace components meet stringent quality standards.

The role emphasizes FAI/PPAP leadership, supplier quality, GD&T interpretation, and data-driven continuous improvement, with a culture of ownership and long-term development.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Quality Engineering experience in aerospace or regulated manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of AS9100, AS9102, PPAP, 8D, and root cause analysis.
• Experience with GD&T interpretation and CMM measurement systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead FAI and PPAP submissions from start to finish with timely approvals.
• Investigate quality issues using 8D and 5-Why; implement corrective actions.
• Support AS9100, ITAR, and CMMC compliance; audit readiness.
• Collaborate with suppliers on quality performance and development.
• Serve as a technical resource for measurement systems and GD&T.
• Identify and lead continuous improvement to reduce scrap and rework.
• Partner with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Operations to resolve production challenges.
• Analyze quality data to identify process improvement and risk reduction.
