Vogrinc Search Group seeks a Senior Quality Engineer to lead quality activities in a precision manufacturing setting on site in Detroit, MI. The role focuses on owning the QMS, driving ISO 9001:2015 certification, and ensuring product and process conformance for military and automotive programs.

You will mentor production staff on GD&T, lead internal and external audits, and develop quality plans for high-mix/low-volume production, including FAI and MRB workflows. U.S.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing, or related field.
• ASQ certification (CQE, CQA) preferred.
• 5+ years of quality engineering in ISO 9001 environment.
• Defense/military supplier quality or AS9100/IATF 16949 familiarity preferred.
• ITAR/export control recordkeeping familiarity a plus.
• Strong GD&T and blueprint reading skills.
• ISO 9001:2015 audit experience preferred.
• Hands-on with precision measurement equipment and calibration programs.
• Lean/Six Sigma mindset and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with internal teams and suppliers.

Responsabilidades

• Maintain a strong manufacturing floor presence and mentor staff on inspection methods and quality procedures.
• Lead design and implementation of the QMS and CAPA processes; maintain ISO 9001 compliance.
• Represent ISO 9001 certification and coordinate with external auditors, plan internal audits.
