Job summary

Kiewit Nuclear Solutions in Idaho Falls is seeking a Sr Quality Engineer to administer the Project Quality Plan and ensure the quality program is implemented across engineering, procurement, construction, testing, and operations for the Navy Spent Fuel Handling Project and Oklo-Aurora.

You will report to the Quality Manager, drive corrective actions, audits, and quality improvement, and work on a busy on-site construction program with strong safety, ethics, and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or related technical discipline (highly desirable).
• 7-10+ years of quality or related experience.
• 1-year nuclear experience is required.
• Knowledge of industry standards such as NQA-1, ISO-9001, Six Sigma, and/or NRC Reg Guides is preferred.
• Proficient in problem solving and causal analysis techniques.
• Experience with quality control procedures in construction activities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain understanding of company standards and guidelines.
• Initiate, implement, and close Corrective Action Reports.
• Facilitate Root/ Apparent Cause Analysis.
• Maintain knowledge of District Quality Manuals and project requirements.
• Identify potential quality incidents before they arise.
• Participate in project activities and provide input on quality assurance.
• Plan and perform quality assessments.
