Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group in Oregon seeks a Quality Engineer with 3–6 years of inspection experience to lead MRB activities and assure conformance of complex assemblies.

You will read GD&T per ASME Y14.5, use SAP/MA for material management, review inspection records, and drive PFMEA/MSA, process flow, and control plans across QA processes.

This onsite role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to uphold QMS standards and support audits.

Qualifications

• GD&T: Read and interpret prints per ASME Y14.5
• SAP / MA: Material management
• Non conforming material: General control
• Inspection: Interpret and review inspection records
• Ability to know difference between conforming and non-conforming features within inspection records
• Review 3D optical inspection scans and understand conformance
• Working Team facilitator: NoE process knowledge
• QMS - Follow Collins Quality Management System
• MRB Authority - Must have experience with MRB authority in the past

Responsibilities

• Lead MRB activities—reviewing, dispositioning, and resolving defects and nonconforming conditions in complex assemblies.
• Document abnormalities and ensure cross-functional validation that corrections/rework won't affect functionality.
• Establish turnaround times, coordinate meetings to ensure timely MRB disposition.
• Publish dashboards and analytical reports.
• Coordinate improvements with supply chain and coordinate lessons learned and corrective action.
• Ensure compliance with MRB/QMS procedures and train team members.
• Provide onsite technical support interpreting drawings, specs, and procedures.
• Drive improvement initiatives to enhance quality metrics.
• Compile data and write analyses on nonconformance studies.
• Utilize PPAP core elements (PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow, CP) to manage risk.
• Support audits and engineering change actions.
