Job summary

Third Party International seeks a Senior Program Quality Engineer to provide quality engineering and mission assurance support for a defense manufacturing program. This role collaborates with program teams on contract requirements, supplier flowdowns, inspection planning, and data-driven quality improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in engineering or applied sciences; 8–12 years quality engineering experience, or Master’s with 5–8 years.
• US Citizenship and ability to obtain a DoD Secret clearance.
• Strong metrology background: inspection techniques, measurement systems, calibration concepts.
• Strong GD&T and drawing interpretation skills.
• Proven root cause and corrective action leadership.
• Statistical analysis skills and experience with quality tools (DOE, FMEA, MSA).
• Strong interpersonal communication and ability to work with internal teams and suppliers.
• ISO 9001:2015 aligned QMS knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality engineering support to program and project teams.
• Identify contractual quality requirements and ensure compliance across the program.
• Develop program quality plans, inspection procedures, and quality requirement flowdowns.
• Develop and implement receiving, in-process, and supplier inspection requirements.
• Perform on-site monitoring of manufacturing lines and supplier processes.
• Lead MRB and corrective action board activities and drive closure of corrective actions.
• Participate in FRACAS, failure analysis and containment.
• Perform statistical analysis on yield, SPC, and key characteristics; communicate trends.
• Review and approve supplier quality documentation (control/test plans, MSA evidence, first article packages, audit reports).
• Support customer and regulatory audits including preparation and follow-up actions.
• Maintain site QMS aligned to ISO 9001:2015.
• Drive continuous improvement using lean and Six Sigma methods.
