Job summary

MPI is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to lead quality initiatives in a high-volume injection molding environment. You will own quality planning, supplier quality management, CAPA, and data-driven problem solving to ensure customer and regulatory requirements are met.

You will mentor quality engineers, collaborate with engineering, operations, and supply chain, and drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, and QMS best practices. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 6+ years of progressive Quality Engineering experience in manufacturing, preferably injection molding.
• Experience with ISO 9001, SPC, TQM, DOE, APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, MSA and continual improvement.
• Hands-on with CMMs and metrology equipment and associated inspection processes.
• Proficiency with Minitab and quality software tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead quality engineering activities for new product launches, engineering changes, and existing production programs.
• Develop and maintain quality system documentation including inspection plans, control plans, work instructions, process flows, procedures, and testing requirements.
• Drive corrective and preventive actions through root cause analysis and data-driven problem solving.
• Monitor process performance using capability analysis, variation, and defect trend data with statistical tools.
• Lead PFMEA, risk assessments, process reviews, and error-proofing initiatives.
• Plan and execute qualification activities for products, processes, and equipment.
• Lead investigations into customer complaints and nonconformances; coordinate containment and long-term corrective actions.
• Provide guidance on material dispositions, deviations, rework, and scrap decisions.
• Manage supplier quality performance through audits, scorecards, and collaborative improvements.
