Job summary

Copeland in Sidney, OH is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to lead quality initiatives for compressors and electromechanical products. You will partner with cross-functional teams, suppliers, manufacturing operations, and customers to drive product quality, process improvements, and effective problem resolution.

The role requires a solid background in high-volume manufacturing, experience with GD&T, and a track record of leading quality programs from concept through PPAP and production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Controls, or Electrical Engineering.
• ASQ Green Belt certification.
• 5 to 7 years of experience in high-volume manufacturing environments.
• Minimum 3 years of Quality Engineering experience.
• Proficiency in GD&T (ASME Y14.5).
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Minitab or similar statistical software, ERP and PLM systems.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
• Legal Authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship will not be provided for this role.

Responsibilities

• Work on New Product Development programs to ensure products release to program requirements.
• Lead process optimization initiatives to improve quality and operational performance.
• Validate prototype and production processes, methods, gauges, and instrumentation.
• Develop and implement quality plans and control strategies.
• Perform data collection, statistical analysis, and measurement system analysis (MSA).
• Review and approve PPAP documentation.
