Job summary

Copeland in Sidney, OH is seeking a Senior Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to drive manufacturing readiness for new compressor products, from concept through production release. You will partner with Product, Design Engineering and Operations to develop processes, runs, and validation.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering, 5+ years in a similar role, and strong Lean, project management, and collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or equivalent; associate degree considered with equivalent experience
• Minimum of five (5) years in a similar role
• Strong organizational, project management, and collaboration skills
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and solve complex manufacturing problems

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and mature manufacturing concepts into detailed process designs for high-volume assembly
• Collaborate with Product, Design Engineering and Operations on new product development
• Identify and mitigate manufacturing risks for new technologies and processes
• Perform PFMEAs, capability studies, Gage R&R, and other analyses to qualify processes
• Coordinate equipment design, procurement, qualification and implementation within schedules and budgets
• Work with outside integrators and machine builders to ensure equipment meets requirements
• Support pilot builds, pre-production validation and production release
