Job summary

Valvoline Global Operations in Lexington, KY is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to lead global laboratory quality processes and drive continuous improvement across production locations. You will establish and maintain standards for testing, equipment management, documentation, and analytical precision to ensure data integrity and compliance.

This onsite role (Mon-Thu in Lexington) requires up to 40% travel, ISO 9001/17025/IATF knowledge, and a Bachelor’s in Engineering or related field;

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Chemistry, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Travel up to 40% is required.
• Minimum 5 years of quality management experience in OEM, lab, and plant environments.
• Deep knowledge of quality management systems and standards (ISO 9001, ISO 17025, IATF).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Ability to lead and influence cross-functional and cross-regional teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean).
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage global laboratory quality processes and standards.
• Drive continuous improvement and benchmarking across production locations.
• Ensure audit readiness and governance over production lab sites.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance quality and productivity.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with R&D, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain.
• Prepare and present quality reports to senior management.
