Job summary

Novelis Guthrie facility in Kentucky seeks an experienced Process Engineer to lead quality and process improvement at our greenfield startup. You will manage site quality management system, drive process capability, and partner with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s in a scientific field, 3 years of QMS experience in the auto sector, and hands-on IATF 16949 and ISO 9001:2015 experience. This role offers growth in a broad manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field with strong analytical skills.
• 3 years of quality management system experience in a large auto OEM/Tier 1.
• Experience with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001:2015 standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across all levels.
• Proactive, organized with ability to handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and update site business management system interfaces.
• Ensure regulatory compliance for IATF 16949 and ISO 9001:2015.
• Plan and lead internal audits and registrar/corporate audits.
• Document control and EtQ repository management.
• Support quality initiatives and process improvements.
• Resolve deviations to improve quality and throughput.
• Develop process control strategies for product/process capability.
• Lead projects to optimize the business management system.
• Assist in development of new products and processes.
• Identify and eliminate causes of defects using 8D/A3/DMAIC.
• Apply WCM methodologies to resolve customer complaints.
• Adhere to ISO/standards and ASI certifications as applicable.
